Who are we

[LAWSPACE] is a dedicated space for legal support, may it be from an immigration matter ensuring that your immigration status is protected, character or medical concerns adequately represented, or appealing a decision or claiming a refugee status; a family matter requiring our expertise in resolving a custody matter, applying for a dissolution of marriage or setting out relationship property agreement; an employment dispute or just to ensure you are accepting a job offer whose terms you truly understand and prevent issues later on; a property matter or commercial matter where you are now purchasing you first home, investment, establishing a business, buying a business or franchise, or simply putting down a will, or enduring power of attorney, we are here to help.

Our founder has extensive legal and immigration knowledge, having worked in the legal field and migrant community for over 20 years. She is supported by professionals who have treaded the same waters, being new kiwis themselves.

We understand you, you know how daunting sometimes it is having to face some legal issues being new kiwis. For some of you, you just need validation that you are within the legal boundaries and wants to ensure that you meet your obligations as new kiwis. For whatever reason, we are here.

Driven, honest and strategic that is how I personally describe myself.

 

When I launched [LAWSPACE], the motivating factor was to create a space where people can freely talk about legal issues without feeling intimidated or inadequate. A lot of people are afraid soliciting legal advice for the fear of being misunderstood (or misunderstanding the advice), judged stupid for asking ‘stupid’ question, treated differently because of age, race or colour, or simply afraid of a possible costs of engaging a legal representative.

 

My vision is to fill in that legal gap and be able to be there for anyone who would like a helping hand. It may be that you are starting out in New Zealand and you need help in the area of immigration, or simply you want someone to help you in your property purchase, perhaps you need help in navigating the legal requirements of setting up a trust, a business or attend to a family matter, or simply just need someone to talk to about the legal contracts and options.

 

In the last 20 years of practicing in the area of immigration law, I have met people from all walks of life. I have successfully advocated for hundreds of complex cases involving deportation appeal, residence appeals, character waivers, medical waivers, special request to the Minister/Associate Minister of Immigration.

 

My dedication to helping people blossomed into me working with both private individual clients and businesses in relation to property, conveyancing and small business requirements. I understand the need for clarity, representation and utmost assistance.

 

The transfer of trust extended to when clients needed representation with their family, will and estate matters. 

 

When you come to me, I will not treat you like a number. Your circumstance matters. You matter.
